Rough Trade Records’ new signing Benjamin Booker is set to play his first ever UK shows this May.

Described as “a well-mixed musical cocktail of punk, folk, and New Orleans blues”, Benjamin Booker cites his influences as The Gun Club, Blind Willie Johnson, and T. Rex. The 22-year-old singer-songwriter plays as a two-piece with drummer Max Norton, both of whom are based in New Orleans.

Booker’s debut album will be out later this year on Rough Trade.
