Un-Peeled is a special series of events in Preston and Manchester to celebrate John Peel Day, exclusively featuring artists who recorded radio sessions for the legendary BBC DJ either in their current or previous incarnations. This all-day show, across two venues in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, has a stellar line-up representing over 80 Peel sessions, including many people Peel and his producer John Walters asked back to record time after time.

The Telescopes
Darker and more experimental than the likes of My Bloody Valentine or Loop, The Telescopes have yet to achieve the commercial success they perhaps deserve. Now Stephen Lawrie has now re-awakened the beast with a clutch of new songs and a slimmed down line-up.

Yeah Yeah Noh
“Yeah Yeah Noh were my favourite mix of sneery post-punk and swooshy psychedelia. And now they’re back” … Stewart Lee
Yeah Yeah Noh were a post-punk group formed in Leicester, England in 1984. They released two albums and five singles while still together, and have had two compilation albums issued since they split in 1986. As of summer 2012, Yeah Yeah Noh are back together and are playing live.

The Big Naturals
Huge pounding psychedelic kraut rock with a filthy triple bass guitar assault. Featuring members of Fuzz Against Junk and The Heads, this new Bristol duo looks set to be really rather heavy indeed.
The Big Naturals tour dates
The Baboon
The duo leaves it up to the essential: live attitude and a minimal set-up of drums, guitar and voice.
In their approach to music, vintage and lo-fi sounds merge with melodies that recall a certain kind of independent pop.
