The history of psychosis through the eyes of three extraordinary men.

Meet Richard - a Victorian schizophrenic, Dicky - a British soldier from WWI with shell shock and a stammer, and Rick - a young gay man from 1970s America, in an institution to 'cure' his homosexuality.

Going in and out of controversial treatment sessions, the men are pushed to their psychological and physical breaking point but manage to find comfort, humour, and even therapy in their interactions with each other. A dark tale of pain, resilience and how the human mind works under immense pressure.
