Beat The Frog: Barry Dodds, Grainne Maguire, Lee Ridley (Lost Voice Guy), Tony Burgess, Danny McLoughlin
MC Danny McLoughlin presents Manchester's best amateur night.
Showcasing the best fresh talent from the comedy circuit, hopefuls strive to make the five-minute mark - and you have a hand in making (or breaking!) their dreams.
This charming Geordie motor-mouth has audiences in the palm of his hand, even when discussing the most near the knuckle subjects. With material ranging from the supernatural to euthanasia, everything is delivered with a cheeky smile that wins over even the most stony faced of the audience. Barry has been on the circuit for five years and has played all across the country, from London to Orkney. This young star is hotly tipped for big things.
'Hugely enjoyable... a ton of great stories... one to watch' (The Guardian).

Lee Ridley aka Lost Voice Guy is diabled but not silent. Born with Cerebral Palsy, complications at birth resulted in Lee losing his ability to speak. Undaunted, Lee started performing stand up comedy earleir this year using an ipad tablet computer, and after an unprecedented meteoric rise and publicity from local and national press, is now headlining comedy clubs across the country. "A wondeful comedian" - Matt Lucas
Lee Ridley (Lost Voice Guy) tour dates
Stand-up comedian and writer who has worked on a wide range of shows such as the award winning BBC 3 comedy Ideal (where he also played Troy, a mad DJ who
lived in a cupboard).
Tony has also written for wide variety of comedians including Lily Savage, Brian Conley, Steve Coogan and Johnny Vegas.
'Always clever, often hilarious' (The Scotsman).
Tony Burgess tour dates
With an amiable confident stage presence and a well written set, Danny delivers material with more than just an immediate pay-off line, preferring to take the joke one or two steps further. Confident enough to take a risk on stage he does so not to the detriment of the audience, keeping them laughing along or hanging on every word.
