Mario Popham: Enduring Growth

Photographer Mario Popham presents Enduring Growth, a series of black and white images shot on large format film that document his study of struggle and renewal within his adopted home, Manchester.

Despite the vast sea of red brick and concrete, Enduring Growth champions a stubborn resolve by both nature and the city’s inhabitants to survive and adapt in the face of limited opportunity.

The resulting work is a thoughtfully observed series showing moments of optimism and renewed potential across some of Manchester’s most neglected locations.
