Meet Santa: Father Christmas
For a very merry day out this Christmas, head to ZSL London Zoo and embark on a trip through the animal kingdom to meet Santa.
Nestled cosily in his festive lodge, Santa will be taking time out of his busy schedule to meet the children on his ‘nice’ list this Christmas, whilst his cheeky elf photographers are on hand to capture the magical moment.
A must-see this Christmas are the Zoo’s most festive animals – the reindeers! Visitors can find out more about Santa’s favourite creatures at the daily keeper talk, including why Santa’s reindeer must all be girls (hint: it’s all about the antlers...)
Kids at the Zoo will be able to lend a hand at the daily ‘Keeper’s Little Helpers’ sessions, where they’ll be preparing treats and presents for the Zoo’s animals – including stuffing stockings for the ring-tailed coatis.
With loads more to do including carousel rides, keeper talks and animal demonstrations, the whole family will be able to enjoy the fun festivities on offer at ZSL London Zoo.
Father Christmas
Traditional yuletide performer, with a seemingly bottomless bag of fun and magic, adored by children and adults alike. Alas, his visits to these shores come but annually, but each year his performances are met with a heady mix of anticipation and excitement, celebration and commercialism. And like all the greats, he is often referred to by a single name: Santa. Unlikely to disappoint.
