Dizzee Rascal
Underground dance master who stunned the UK garage scene with his debut album 'Boy In Da Corner' and single 'I Luv U' in 2003, both of which warped the sound into something dark, disturbing and deliciously innovative. Considered the most popular and influential Grime artist in the world, and also recognised as an innovator with his production style. 2007's 'Maths + English' is a masterpiece and a credit to the genre.

Bombay Bicycle Club
A group of schoolfriends - not even very long ago - formed Bombay Bicycle Club and, under-appreciated in school, took their music out on the London gig circuit, which led to them opening the V Festival in August 2006. They released their debut EP later that year and, still in their teenage years, have received national acclaim for their efforts.

Gallows
British punk-rock band making hardcore screamo and punk-led noise. Fans of Bullet For My Valentine, As I Lay Dying and Senses Fail are sure to enjoy, as will anyone who likes their music hard, fast and passionate as hell. Having recently departed from former frontman Frank Carter, Gallows now have a new singer - former Alexisonfire guitarist and singer Wade MacNeil.

Mystery Jets
'Perfectly formed pop' (Bugbear). A band who manage to do something new with the rock sound. Their music is unusual and boundary pushing, but luckily they have the technical prowess to pull it off, sometimes mastering kitchen utensils as well as more standard instruments.

The Horrors
Bridging the unseen gap between mod, goth and punk music, The Horrors burst onto the scene, spurting a no-nonsense mix of London rock and theatrical punk. Putting as much effort into their dramatic stage shows as they do their immaculate appearances, The Horrors make camp, catchy music that would do a Tim Burton soundtrack proud.

The Maccabees
Brighton's Maccabees have gone from strength to strength since the release of their debut top 30 album 'Colour It In' in 2007. Their brand of slightly off-kilter British art-rock has seen them compered to the likes of Wire, Blur, Magazine, Futureheads and XTC. The frenzied live shows have generated stage invasions and riotous crowds buzzing to the sounds of already classic anthems like 'About Your Dress' and 'Toothpaste Kisses'. 2012 sees the release of 3rd album 'Given To The Wild', with more wild live shows sure to ensue.
