Never miss another 'Maleficent' show
The Red Paintings + Maleficent
After suffering a near-fatal seizure, visionary performer Trash McSweeney now sees colour in his music and has set out to share with the world all the ideas about what he has seen and felt. By taking to his guitar, piano and notebook, The Red Paintings were officially born upon the dawn of the new millennium.
Based in Australia and Los Angeles - and having been fortunate enough to already tour much of the globe - The Red Paintings are a five-piece group (guitar, bass, drums, cello & violin) who incorporate additional orchestral, choral and performance art features wherever possible.
Maleficent
The lazy among us would just compare Miss Martini to another "Lady Gaga" – but she is so much more than that. The glamorous Italian is a professional ballerina, having trained at London's infamous Royal Ballet School, and has performed at venues all over the world, including Rome's 'Teatro De l'Opera'. This is something which heavily features in the band's live performances along with the occasional rope suspension act. Maleficent are a band which definitely dabble with the dark side of pop, adding traces of electro, industrial, and metal into an already eclectic equation; with theatrical double vocals from Miss Maleficent Martini, and Mortimer Cain, hard hitting drums from Prof. Lucius Vargulf, first guitarist Lucious, second guitarist Chester Wormington and the bassist with the most f**ked up sound Alice Rain. Catchy synthesised riffs all mixed together with a live set design which wouldn't be amiss in a Tim Burton movie.
