Saint Joan By George Bernard Shaw: Rose Theatre Bankside
'You forget that Shakespeare is still held responsible for the first part of Henry VI, with its infamous libel on Joan. She would have risen from the Seine and punched my head if I had penned her name in Stratford' (George Bernard Shaw).
After a successful and nominated run of Shakespeare's Henry VI part I in May 2011 at The Rose, Bankside, Joan's story rises from the ashes once more in George Bernard Shaw's Saint Joan.
