The Pogues have announced a new show at London The O2 as part of their 30th anniversary tour, their only UK date for 2012.

The Pogues reunite once again for the ultimate seasonal send off to get everyone in the festive spirit. Only a Pogues gig can create the party atmosphere of St. Patrick's Day in December with their unique mix of traditional Irish folk, punk and classic songwriting.

Special guests for the night are Frank Turner and The Sleeping Souls. This is the perfect way to close what has been a phenomenal year for Frank Turner that has included a headline show at Wembley Arena, playing at the Olympic Opening Ceremony and having album England Keep My Bones certified silver with over 70,000 sales in the UK.

By demonstrating that the spirit of punk could live in traditional Irish folk music, the Pogues were one of the most radical bands of the mid-80s. Famed for their wild and exciting live acts, lead singer Shane MacGowan's relentless drug and alcohol abuse meant the cult Irish folk punksters were forced to disband in the mid 90s. Now reformed with charismatic rogue MacGowan back in tow, the band are back on the road well over 20 years since their inception.
