Tackling Obesity: Is Manipulating Our Metabolism Made Futile By Mother?

Obesity is a huge problem in the developing world, made more complex by conflicting advice on how to tackle it. Dietary advice, exercise instruction and even pharmaceutical and surgical advances have been used to try and manipulate our metabolisms and stave off our portly problems. But are these advances futile? Are obesity and other associated problems such as heart disease and diabetes already programmed by what our mothers ate whilst they were pregnant? Hear from world-renowned experts Professor Lucilla Poston and Dr Scott Harding from King’s College London.

We'll also be playing Biology Bingo, the best bingo-based Biology quiz in town, so put your thinking caps on and don't miss this chance to win some Pint of Science swag!

Pint of Science is a non-profit organisation and all your ticket money will go towards future events.
