DMD+

DMD+ is a collection of professional dancers who, like Mark Smith their Artistic Director, are deaf. Mark has created and developed a fusion of different styles of dance with sign-language incorporated into the choreography, creating a unique, interesting and original dance vocabulary for the company.

As part of =dance, DMD+ presents Hear! Hear! which explores personal and intimate ideas about being deaf, expressed through the company’s personal experiences. Hear! Hear! will be accessible and of interest to everyone, capturing the hearts and encouraging support from both the hearing and hearing impaired communities.

Hear! Hear! is a dance production that will push boundaries and change perceptions of deaf dance.

The performance will be followed by a BSL interpreted post show discussion with the artists.
