American Boy
Sadler’s Wells New Wave Associate, Hetain Patel is a visual artist whose work for the stage has been attracting growing acclaim in the UK and around the world. His practice crosses a number of art forms, with
the body and identity as core concerns.
Following the success of his performance works TEN and Be Like Water, Hetain Patel takes to the stage as a solo performer, with a personal and humorous take on identity shape-shifting. In American Boy, Patel takes inspiration from American movie culture and homegrown TV programmes, looking at the multiple personas that we all inhabit in our day to day lives.
