Bringing together musical instruments on loan from the V&A and complementary objects from the Horniman, The Art of Harmony explores traditions of Western classical music and the varied role of instruments as makers of music, works of art and status symbols.
A display of rarely seen archival material examines how and why these collections came into being and looks behind the scenes at their life in the Museum.
