The Glorious Fools play the music of the late, great John Martyn, covering songs from his entire catalogue in an eclectic mix of folk, rock, jazz and blues. Performed by four dedicated musicians (Bill Burnett - upright bass, Nigel Appleton - guitars/vocals, Jamie Fisher - drums/percussion and Doug Melbourne - keyboards/vocals) the band delivers an amazing evening of music for John Martyn fans as well as those new to his work. A varied setlist includes many of his most treasured classics (May You Never, Sweet Little Mystery) as well as less well known compositions. Some songs are loving recreations of the originals, others rework the material but always remaining true to the musical principles Martyn adhered to.
