Deadly Rhythm Carnival Afterparty
The annual Deadly Rhythm Carnival after party.
We've invited JD Twitch from Optimo down to headline our party, bringing his 'Bucky Skank' set to London for the first time. Back in 2011 Twitch played a one-off party of all Jamaican music at Glasgow's Sub Club, it went down so well that it became an annual event, named after both the Lee Scratch Perry song 'Bucky Skank' (with the added reference of it being similar in name to Buckfast, the infamous Scottish fortified wine). The party also doubles up as a label, with the occasional release bringing new takes on Jamaican dancehall classics.
Visit soundcloud.com/twitch/optimo-podcast-14-bucky-skank for an idea of what to expect.
Joining him will be Thris Tian and the Deadly residents in Room 1. Meanwhile in Room 2, our friends LOCAL return with garage legend El-B, Photomachine and their own residents.
