Book Slam South
Book Slam in October will be full of highs, lows and so-now-you-knows, featuring some of the most stimulating writers and thinkers of our day.
Guests include Laura Bates, the woman behind the phenomenon that is the Everyday Sexism Project, and Shami Chakrabarti, the iconic director of Liberty, who tells us about her first book, 'On Liberty'.
There is truly extraordinary poetry from Chimene Suleyman, reading from her debut collection 'Outside Looking On', and our old friend Salena Godden introduces her long-awaited memoir 'Springfield Road'.
Music comes in the form of epic pop thanks to Jagaara who are cool like us only in a different way and cooler. Hosting duties are once again taken on by the brillo pads Felicity Ward who apparently told the tenth funniest joke at the 2014 Edinburgh Festival (mathematical fact).
Please note that the artists appearing may be subject to change.
