Screening: The Girl Can't Help It!

The Cinema Museum is proud to present from the golden age of the American Drive-in Theater a recreation of a 1950s-style drive-in theater programme, consisting of all genuine 1950s drive-in material!

The main film will be the 1956 20th Century Fox production of the witty and stylish The Girl Can’t Help It starring Tom Ewell and Jayne Mansfield, directed by Frank Tashlin. The gorgeous Mansfield is supported by more than a dozen major music acts of the time including Little Richard, Eddie Cochran, Fats Domino and Gene Vincent.

With an outstanding full supporting programme consisting of period ads, cartoon, short, and a whole reel of the cheesiest horror and sci-fi trailers from the vaults, topped with a selection of drive-in theatre announcements, this is one show that no enthusiast of 1950s kitsch will want to miss.
