Sensing The Hazards

Which natural hazards do you think might cause the most impact in the UK? Earthquake? Tsunamis? Droughts? Or… floods? Prof. Bruce Malamud is going to give you the answer based on an over-2000 people questionnaire survey. And, a comparison with the ‘expert’ opinion. Are you standing on the ‘right’ side this time?

Want to know more about recent floods and their impact on our life? Prof. David Demerit will state his idea about the susceptibility of catchments to intense rainfall and flooding, and most importantly, how we are going to deal with it!

So if you are curious about natural hazards and their impact, are a keen “pub-quizzer” or just fancy a pint whilst listening to fascinating talks about our planet then Pint of Science 2014 with King’s College London Geography is the right thing for you!

Pint of Science is a non-profit organisation and all your ticket money will go towards future events.
