Danse Macabre: Jupiter Orchestra, UK PREMIERE OF DANSE MACABRE BY GREGORY ROSE

Enjoy this, the UK premiere of Danse Macabre by Gregory Rose.

Danse macabre was premiered by the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir to considerable acclaim in Tallinn, Estonia in 2011.

This work is inspired by a wonderful picture in St Nicholas Church in Tallinn, Estonia, which depicts 'Death' taunting the Pope, Emperor, Empress, Cardinal, King and Bishop. Below each picture there are words in medieval German which Gregory has set for voices. He has also added in 7 'Dances' and the complete Latin Requiem for the chorus. The performance features 7 principal singers, chorus and chamber orchestra and will be conducted by the composer.
