From John Donne to Eric Clapton, poets have wondered what follows on after this life. To this immortal question composers including Brahms, Fauré, Byrd and such exciting British composers as Will Todd and Jonathan Dove have responded with music of serene beauty and awesome wonder.
St Barnabas’s newly installed £400,000 organ will also make its considerable voice heard in some of the most virtuosic accompaniments in the repertoire played by Timothy Wakerell who is the sub-organist at St Paul's Cathedral.
