Juliet And Romeo is set to a score by Tchaikovsky – rather than the more traditional Prokofiev – adapted and arranged by Anders Högstedt. This new production features scenography and costume design by Magdalena Åberg. The Renaissance-inspired costumes are given a modern twist, while the dark, urban setting helps bring this classic love story into the 21st century.

Pairing a contemporary aesthetic with dynamic choreography and Linus Fellbom’s atmospheric light design, Ek places this romantic tale in a brutal environment strewn with conflict between characters and generations.
