Dance Double Bill: Uprising / The Art of Not Looking Back : Hofesh Shechter Company

Sadler's Wells Associate Artist Hofesh Shechter returns to present this double bill of two of his most acclaimed works.

Uprising (2006) is a highly-charged work featuring seven male dancers from Hofesh Shechter Company. This production plays with the idea of masculinity, exploring brotherhood and friendship, and is considered by many to be his breakthrough work.

The Art Of Not Looking Back (2009) is inspired by and made for the female dancers of Hofesh Shechter Company. Physical, complex and unrelenting, it explores loss and separation and presents Shechter's favoured theme of 'man against the world' in a different light.
