Bach: St. Matthew Passion (In English)
The Bach Choir first performed Johann Sebastian Bach's epic Passion in English in 1930. Today's audiences continue to appreciate the relevance and immediacy of the performances. Baroque specialists Florilegium join tenor Ben Johnson as Evangelist and a host of eminent soloists including countertenor Iestyn Davies to bring the Easter story alive.
Please note there is a long lunch interval; the second half begins at 2:15pm.
