The Night Shift: Classical Music, Minus The Rules: Orchestra Of The Age Of Enlightenment, The Boy Dan Good
The Night Shift, London’s most relaxed classical event, returns to the warm surroundings of the Southbank Centre, for another evening of live music in a laid-back atmosphere.
The main concert features the striking music of George Frideric Handel, described by Beethoven as the greatest composer that ever lived. With the Choir of the Enlightenment in attendance, this is a rare chance to see some of Handel’s most dramatic music, in an unusual and intimate setting.
As always, drinks are welcome in the hall, the audience can clap when they want and can come and go at any time. Plus there’s live music pre-show in the bar and a DJ set afterwards until midnight.
Orchestra Of The Age Of Enlightenment
The OAE plays on period instruments aiming to recreate the sounds and styles of performance that would have been familiar to composers in their own time.
