In The Footsteps Of Odin
In this free public lecture David William Parry will be examining the figure of Odin as a tribal shaman leading his people through Azerbaijan into Scandinavia, as a god, and as the blueprint for rapturous poetic heroism. Indeed, thanks to the generous sponsorship of the European Azerbaijan Society, he will also be exploring little known evidence preserved in the Gobustan national park, as well as Thor Heyerdahl’s personal quest to understand this mysterious archetype of the North.
