Rosa, 15, innocent, privately educated, has lost her mother; her father has lost his house and business. Leaving behind a world of weekly allowances and Italian holidays, they find themselves in cheap rented accommodation with a reclusive new neighbour - Candy, webcamming in her bedroom; £3.50 a minute, 20 punters a night. Unexpected life lessons are about to be learnt.
This is a three-handed rites of passage piece, using the burgeoning webcam industry as its setting. It is a story of paternal failure, unlikely friendship and unexpected self-sacrifice. Though hard-hitting its tone is often light, quirky and infused with humour.
