About this event

Born out of the Old Vic New Voices TS Eliot US/UK Exchange, People Like Us by Jake Brunger was originally performed as a short play at the Vineyard Theatre in New York and Happy Never After by Hannah Rodger was developed after the US/UK Exchange in 2011. Both plays have now been developed and
workshopped into two full length plays, which will be presented as a double bill.

People Like Us - When Clemmy invites her brother Josh for dinner to finally meet his new girlfriend Sally, a cosy Friday night meal on their sprawling country estate quickly becomes a breeding ground for contentious family issues. A new comic drama about class, coupling and camembert.

Happy Never After - Having just moved into their first flat Jen and Neil are young, fun and totally in love. When Jen gets some shocking news they are forced to make a difficult decision which threatens the happy ending they were heading towards. A touching tale of life, love and all that comes between.
