Following a limited run at the Jack Studio Theatre in 2013, First Draft is delighted to bring their acclaimed production of Brainville At Night to the Old Red Lion for 3 weeks this Spring.

Step into the belly of the Blue Whale, where the dancers are hot and the music is cool. You’re handed a drink sent over by a mysterious woman at the end of the bar and she invites you to take a trip on her own unique rollercoaster. The most original love story you will see this year, Brainville At Night questions labels like “fronto-temporal dementia” with a stylish and involving adventure into the film noir-ish world of Ingrid’s memories and imagination. From the excitement of youth to the woman now trapped by her inability to communicate, Brainville At Night is comic, poignant and ultimately moving. Through music, movement, and projection the fantastic ensemble cast transports the audience inside the brain of Ingrid and addresses what happens to love when a neurological disorder takes over and how it effects those left behind.

Directed by Artistic Director Matthew Parker, the cast includes RSC and National Theatre actor Robert Hickson and West End actress Illona Linthwaite, as well as Sophie Dora-Hall, Julia Faulkner, Louise Torres-Ryan and Eddie Usher.
