London International Ska Festival: Fishbone + The Selecter (Neol Davies) + The Skints + Rebelation + Don Letts
See www.londoninternationalskafestival.co.uk/ for further information.
Fishbone
One of the most eclectic alternative bands there has ever been fusing ska, soul, reggae and rock in their own individual way. With one band member being rescued from a cult by his friends, you know this band is more than interesting.

The Selecter (Neol Davies)
After an awe inspiring 30 years, Neol Davies, the original founder & songwriter of classic 2 Tone Records hits 'Too Much Pressure', 'On My Radio', 'Three Minute Hero' and 'Missing Words' returns as The Selecter. The Skints
Incredible East London Ska and reggae band. They earned their formidable reputation live and the first album has sold more than 7500 copies with zero PR. Their 2nd album in 2012, 'Part & Parcel', mixed Jamaican styles with pop hooks, grimey raps, filthy basslines and a punk rock work ethic to create a sound familiar to newcomers, yet unique below the surface.

Rebelation
Rebalation are a 10 piece outfit with a powerful horn section and a smooth brand of authentic ska and rootsy reggae. Born in late 1994, their initial sound was heavily influenced by the likes of The Clash, Specials and The Beat, plus Jah Shaka and the other big English dub reggae sound systems of the time. Through the passage of time and with many line up 'developments', the sound is more refined and authentic. Their traditional Ska is influenced by the Skatalites and the like, whilst the reggae and rocksteady sound is influenced by the Treasure Isle and Studio 1 stable of the late sixties/early seventies. That said, the influence of the modern Jamaican sound is present and Rebelation do not consider themselves as a revival or retro band but as a modernist and progressor of the reggae sound.
Rebelation tour dates
Don Letts
The legendary Don Letts introduced reggae to punk, managed the Slits, played music with former Clash member Mick Jones in Big Audio Dynamite and has directed videos for everyone from Jimmy Cliff to S'Express.
