Road To Carnival
The one-and-only DJ Derek, the legend behind the wonderful Sweet Memory Sounds events for 13 years at Notting Hill Arts Club, comes out of retirement to play a special one-off date at the same venue where the veteran selector played his last set!
Expect an inimitable selection interspersed with Derek's observations on the mic as he chooses tunes from across the decades and charts the history of reggae, ska, R&B, calypso and dancehall at the Carnival.
London's The Scoundrels, a superb blues-rock and '50s R&B-inspired band, play a live set too.
