The Good Foot: Jay Strongman

An incomparable feel-good blend of floor-shaking black music from the sixties and seventies.

Madame Jojo's brings together the very best DJs in their field to play home to London's newest and best Friday night residency of black dance music. The Good Foor presents original and authentic Sixties and Seventies R&B, Deep Funk, Soul, Rare Groove, Boogaloo and Mambo at Soho's world-famous night-spot every Friday.

With Snowboy, the founder of the awesome global phenomenon 'Deep Funk' as weekly resident DJ, the night also features an amazing array of other DJ talent.

Named after the James Brown classic "Get On The Good Foot" the sets rock the Madame JoJo's dancefloor for anyone and everyone who loves the all-out party euphoria created by these pure vintage sounds. The night takes 'Deep Funk' and its focus on classic Funk and Soul as a starting point and develops and expands it into new musical dimensions, including, if the mood is right, Afro Beat, Jazz, Mod Hammond, Jazz Funk, Disco and even Seventies tough Fania-style Salsa. The Good Foot ignores passing trends, defies uptight purism and creates a magnet for both keen dancers and anyone who just loves to have some good old-fashioned fun!

Policy: no tacky fancy dress or stag nights/all male.
