The Joy Of Influence: A Novelist On Opera: Colm Tóibín

Part of a series where the most celebrated English-speaking novelists come to King’s to talk about another great art form close to their hearts.

With front rank writers addressing their love not of literature but of other art forms, The Joy of Influence, produced in collaboration with King’s Cultural Institute, underlines the energetic approach of King’s College London’s English Department to fresh approaches in the literary arts.

Colm Tóibín, multi-awarding winning Irish novelist with a new play recently opened on Broadway, will investigate the influence of opera on his artistic vision and on the shape of his books.
