Jamaica 50 Festival: Morgan Heritage + Shaggy + Ragin Fyah
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Jamaica's independence in spectacular style, London's IndigO2 will play host to the Jamaica 50 Festival with some of the most iconic reggae, ska and dub artists appearing together on stage during a twelve-day event.
Despite being a small island state, Jamaica's cultural impact on the world and musical legacy vastly outweighs its size as the Jamaica 50 line-up testifies.
'The Royal Family of Reggae', otherwise known as five of the sons of Denroy Morgan. After moving to Jamaica following their first album 'Miracles' in 1994, the group toured and released several albums in the subsequent years under the supervision of producers Bobby Dixon and Lloyd James. Morgan Heritage remain one of the most influential Reggae groups around.

Shaggy's style of music blends reggae, dance, pop, ska and R'n'B. The lover man's smooth and tantalising lyrics won him a Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album, 'Boombastic', in 1996. He has worked with legendary producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis on his album, 'Hot Shots', which also features a duet with Janet Jackson entitled 'Luv Me, Luv Me'. Winner of the Best Reggae Act, Mobo Awards 2001 and Best International Male Solo Artist, Brit Awards 2002.
