Sports Medicine Technology
Find out about the extraordinary technology that keeps our top athletes in peak condition during their sporting careers. Try your hand at fixing a damaged knee with an arthroscopy training simulator, check your own fitness levels with the ‘modern pentathlon challenge’, discover if you are walking well with AposTherapy’s gait analyser and see prostheses used by Richard Whitehead and other Paralympians. Visitors can also view the current exhibition ‘Anatomy of an Athlete’ and discover more about the pioneering surgical techniques that allow athletes to return to competition following serious injury.
