Stand Up For Shelter: Tim Minchin, Alistair McGowan, Stewart Francis, Sara Pascoe, The Cuban Brothers, Christian O'Connell
A stellar line up of comedians including Tim Minchin and Alistair McGowan are coming together for Stand up for Shelter – a unique night of comedy in London.
Completing the line-up will be Stewart Francis, Sara Pascoe and The Cuban Brothers, with all acts performing for one night only to raise money for the housing and homelessness charity. The evening will be hosted by Christian O'Connell, breakfast presenter at Absolute Radio, the official radio station for Stand Up for Shelter.
Over 75,000 children are homeless in Britain today, living in cramped and run-down accommodation, including hostels or B&Bs. This has a devastating impact on their health, education and future chances in life. Every ticket sold for Stand Up for Shelter will support the charity’s work to help homeless families find a safe and stable home.
Christian O’Connell, Breakfast Show Presenter Absolute Radio said, “The greatest laugh of the night might be at me - desperately trying to hold this motley crew together.”

Tim Minchin
Tim Minchin is an Australian musician, composer, songwriter, actor, comedian and writer. He has been performing his unique brand of musical comedy in front of appropriately excitable and ever-growing audiences since starting out in South Melbourne’s Butterfly Club in 2005. His songs span various musical styles and topics such as environmentalism, rationalism, prejudice(ism), logical fallacies(ism) and his amour de fromage et boobs. He plays the piano, wears skinny jeans and sports wildly teased hair. He worked with the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC), to write the music and lyrics for Matilda The Musical.
“If you’re going to play big spaces, this is the way to do it; with a 55-piece orchestra and a juggernaut full of showmanship, making this a big show in every sense…a superlative night out.” (Chortle)

Stewart Francis
Stewart moved to the UK from his native 'Canadia' three years ago. It wasn't long before he established himself as one the best stand-ups working here right now, performing superbly on television and touring some of the country's largest venues. An accomplished actor, writer and comedian, Stewart has performed his slick, perfectly timed wealth of gags all over the world from the US to Kilkenny and Aspen to South Africa.

Sara Pascoe
Sara Pascoe is a British writer, stand-up comedian and actress. She has appeared in a number of television programmes, as well as an all-female sketch show and her own Edinburgh show, and runs comedy club The House Of Mirth.
Sara's stand-up is influenced by her joint favourite heroes, Jodie Marsh and Winston Churchill.
'Always intelligent and occasionally exquisite' (The Independent)
'Pascoe uses erudite references as just one strand of an offbeat worldview, offset by moments of gloriously deliberate dumbness and delivered with nothing less than full-megawatt charisma' (The Guardian)
'... defiantly idiosyncratic and highly accessible' (Evening Standard).

The Cuban Brothers
The Cuban Brothers are a unique entertainment proposition. Born of the loins of seventies Havana, nurtured on a diet of soulful, sexy tunes and inspired by the beats and breaks of a thousand B Boys - they're the only act that truly combines music, comedy and dancing for the more discerning crowd...
