Why?
Why? is a three piece American alternative hip hop and indie rock band.
The band was founded in 2004 by Berkeley, California artist Jonathan "Yoni" Wolf, who had been using 'Why?' as his stage name between 1997 and 2004. In 2004 he transferred that name onto his newly founded band. Thereafter he has been credited for his solo work as Yoni Wolf.
Prior to the founding of the band Why? in 2004, Yoni Wolf had also been a member of numerous other groups, including Greenthink, Clouddead, Reaching Quiet and Hymie's Basement.
