Thomas Donoghue Band

Thomas Donoghue is an Irish songwriter from Kilkenny. He has played with many well known Irish acts, most recently for “Souls” (Ex Kerbog members) After making the decision to release solo material under his own name, he spent the last year putting a hand picked group of musicians together to form The Thomas Donoghue Band. The band encompasses styles from a wide variety of artists such as Lisa Hannigan, James Vincent McMorrow, Jack Conte, and The John Butler Trio. They combine these influences and present a strong folk / rock sound with underlying roots influences. The band have gained serious support from the Irish music scene in only a matter of months and have just recently finished doing a “My Inspiration” photo in conjunction with HMV, making them the first Kilkenny act to have ever featured on their “My Inspiration” poster series.
