The Twilight Sad
The Glasgow band kick off a nationwide headline tour in October.
Feburary 2011 saw the release of album number three, 'No One Can Ever Know', marking a sonic shift for the band. Freshly inspired by a listening diet of Caberet Voltaire, Liars, Magazine, Autechre, Banshees, Fad Gadget, PiL and Can, a synth-heavy sound characterises 'No One Can Ever Know', a record thematically akin to 'Holy Bible' - era Manics, 'Violator' - era Depeche Mode and 'The Downward Spiral' -era Nine Inch Nails.
The Twilight Sad
Reclusiveness setting in after just two gigs, Glasgow's The Twilight Sad stayed in the dark until 2005, writing and recording extended pieces of music using any variety of instruments and anything else that would make a sound. An intense, intricate and overpowering sound has since made its way south into England with their signing to Fat Cat records. The Twilight Sad comprises James Graham (vocals), Andy MacFarlane, (guitar/accordion/noise) and Mark Devine (drums). Live, they introduce Johnny Doc and Martin Doherty to the line-up.
