British Jazz Award clarinettists Julian Marc Stringle and Mark Crooks are joined by young vibraphone ace Jim Hart to pay a sparkling tribute to Benny Goodman and Buddy de Franco - with a little Lionel Hampton and Artie Shaw thrown in.
Legendary Dave Green on bass, Steve Brown on drums, Dominic Ashworth on guitar and John Pearce on piano form part of this dynamic septet of award-winning players.
Julian Marc Stringle
From child prodigy to master clarinettist, Julian's liquid phrasing and eloquent articulation distinguish him as one of the UK's most stylish and dynamic performers. Proving his versatility, he has accompanied an all-embracing array of artists from Peanuts Hucko and Digby Fairweather to Meatloaf and the Spice Girls! Julian is also in demand as an arranger and composer for film and TV, and his CD 'Blues for the Morning After', won outstanding acclaim for its slinky and subtle blend of blues, ballads and bebop.
