Time for twinkletoes to make some moves as Southbank Sinfonia lays on a concert of irresistible rhythms and boogie beats for its latest Saturday Spectacular Family Concert.

Everybody loves to dance and it's not just a modern craze. Long before discos and DJs, orchestras unleashed fantastic dance music. With help from the kings of rhythm, Beethoven and Piazzolla, Southbank Sinfonia lead a whirlwind tour of the best dance music for orchestra.

They are joined by the fantastically elastic presenter and music connoisseur Richard Sisson and a maestro with bounce and vigour, Rebecca Miller. Combined with the energy and enthusiasm of the players, this concert is guaranteed to be a hoot!

Saturday Spectacular concerts are the most fun way for all the family to connect with orchestral music, with the chance to get to know the young sparks that form Southbank Sinfonia. Children and adults alike are strongly encouraged to don their ballet shoes or disco flares to get into the groove.

At 10:45am there's a great opportunity to get up close to Southbank Sinfonia's musicians with a meet-and-greet session in the foyer. Find out which are the best bits of being in an orchestra, have a go on a flute or jig along to some great tunes. Fun pre-concert arts and craft activities are laid on to get the creative juices flowing.
