Never miss another 'Pete Long Orchestra' show
About this event
Pete Long's 16 piece ensemble recreates the most famous concert in jazz history. The night when Benny Goodman and his Orchestra, the most popular band in the USA at the time, came to the famous New York home of classical music, Carnegie Hall. The evening was remarkable for being the first time that black and white musicians had performed together at a major venue and the music was electrifying. The concert includes many of Benny's biggest hits including Blue Skies, One O'Clock Jump, Don't Be That Way and the evening finishes with the most famous of all swing era hits - Sing Sing Sing.
