About this event
Drum (and bass) roll please! We Fear Silence will once again join forces with Friction's irrepressible Shogun Audio movement on Saturday 11th August. The label's flagship show here at Cable will deliver the goods with a stellar selection of cutting-edge sub-sonic sounds. First up, as always, is Radio 1 man Friction who'll treat us to another trademark 2 hour journey through all things Shogun, joining him is Digital Soundboy stalwart Breakage.
DJ Friction
Brighton born multi-award winning DJ Friction has grown from best new comer to 'one of the big dogs' (Pete Tong). His Next Level tour has received world acclaim during which he has been delivering more than memorable sets across 3 decks for upto 4 hours!

Breakage
Breakage (Digital Soundboy) has proved himself to be one of the most versatile operators on the drum & bass and dubstep scene. His bass heavy quality music has reached broad appeal winning him fans like Giles Peterson, Mary Anne Hobbs, not to mention his track ‘Hard’ feat. Newham Generals and David Rodigan being named as Zane Lowes ‘Hottest Record In The World’ on his Radio 1 show.

Jubei
Jubei is the name on the lips of almost every top-flight drum and bass DJ in 2011.
Whether it's his solo productions, collaborations with the likes of Breakage, Alix Perez, Icicle, SPY, Lenzman and Ulterior Motive, or his work as a member of Code 3 (with SP:MC and Dakuan), his music features heavily in the sets of those in the know.

Linguistics
You probably know this London born, Bristol based rapper as a regular MC on the dubstep and drum 'n' bass circuit, but he's now dropped his first hip hop EP. With production by Charlie P that often gives more of a nod towards old school US hip hop than much of the sound of the current UK scene, there is a refreshing familiarity and optimism to the beats over which Linguistics' storytelling skills come to the fore. Have a listen to his "Free Speech EP" out now on UK records, and see for yourself why he is causing a such a stir on the scene.
