Thomas Solomon Gray

With a voice pitched somewhere between Bobby 'Blue' Bland, Ray Charles and D'Angelo, Thomas Solomon Gray mixes original songs with classics by artists like Billie Holiday and Louis Jordan. While many of his musical reference points may be decidedly old-school, Solomon Gray's smouldering fusion of soul, funk and R&B is firmly rooted in the present. He is currently putting the finishing touches to his debut album in between shows in London and New York, where he recently made his debut at the legendary Birdland club.
