Although he is now based in London, the raw blues of Detroit, his birthplace, never left Marcus Malone, who is making his much-anticipated Boisdale debut tonight. With their potent blend of blues, soul and rock 'n' roll, Malone and his blistering band somehow manage to sound tight but loose at the same time, like a fantasy jam session between Free, Stevie Ray Vaughan and BB King.
