Rory Gallagher Convention: Sinnerboy + Barry Barnes (Sinnerboy)
The ‘Rorygig’ is back at the Cavern!
This night is a loving and heartfelt tribute to the first and greatest Irish blues rock star Rory Gallagher.
Born in Ballyshannon, Donegal in 1948 Rory set the blues scene alight in ‘Taste’ culminating in the star performance at the Isle of Wight Festival in 1969, Rory then went on to tour the entire world in ‘The Rory Gallagher Band’ until his tragic death from liver failure in 1995.
Barry Barnes, one of his most faithful fans, promoted the first ever tribute concert to the great man in Manchester in 1996 then, drawn by Liverpool’s love of Rory, Barry moved the gig to the famous Cavern Club in 2008 where he found Rory’s ‘Spiritual Home’
If you like your rock adrenaline fuelled and your blues heartfelt and gut-wrenching,come along to where the atmosphere is hot and the bands are hotter.
