Raymond Meade (The Ronelles)
Raymond Meade is a singer/songwriter from Glasgow whose music is steeped in melodic rock’n’roll. He first came to public attention as the singer/songwriter of The Ronelles, a raucous 4 piece who released the critically acclaimed Motel album. The band toured all over the world including support slots with Kings of Leon, the Proclaimers, the Zutons and countless others.
After deciding to venture out alone and guest guitar appearances in the Shane MacGowans solo band and Proud Mary, Raymond spent time writing the songs that formed his 1st solo album, Fables and Follies. The music is a departure from the Ronelles bar room sound and is best described as anthemic rock’n’roll.
