The Giant And The Bear: Unlimited Theatre

West Yorkshire Playhouse’s new resident company Unlimited Theatre present THE GIANT AND THE BEAR, a family extravaganza of theatre, circus and games for players of all ages, experience and levels of daring. Joining forces with circus artist Layla Rosa (founder member of Shunt) and game designers Hide&Seek, Unlimited create a spectacular event for the whole family. Play-tested during the Playhouse’s inaugural FURNACE development project and commissioned by imove (Yorkshire’s cultural Olympiad project), this ambitious adventure comes to Quarry Hill this summer as the only theatre show created specially for Leeds as part of Ruth McKenzie’s London 2012 Festival.

For the first time ever The Giant’s Circus rolls into town bringing world class circus acts, street performers, storytellers and musicians with it. Turn up at the Playhouse for games and adventures before a heart-popping finale in the Giant’s Big Top™. Cheer the death defying stunts of the Flying Ballerina! Gasp at the freakish contortions of Hanging Hoop Girl! Laugh at the Rollerskating Bear!
