Talking Heads

These much loved television monologues are re-imagined for both the stage and beyond. As well as being presented at the Playhouse, they will be performed in community and neighbourhood centres across the city.

A Chip In The Sugar:

Middle-aged, alone and still living at home Graham enjoys a safe and uncomplicated life with his mother. That is until Frank, Mam's old flame, makes an unexpected and utterly unwelcome reappearance.

Bed Among The Lentils:

Susan is a vicars wife who doesn't necessarily believe in God, an alcoholic who steals the communion wine and whose flora displays are never up to much. But when she begins to buy her sherry from the handsome Leeds grocer Ramesh, life begins to look a little less ordinary.

Lady Of Letters:

Single, curtain-twitching Irene Ruddock loves nothing more than to pen a perfectly crafted letter, to whoever is willing, or not so willing, to receive one. When she alerts the council to her suspicions about the family across the road Irene gets more than she ever expected.
