Generation 21 | Khayal
In Urdu, the word 'khayal' means 'imagination' which is indicative of the style's highly improvisational nature. It is generally an abstract and complete presentation of the rag.
SAA-uk is delighted to be presenting a highly talented young male vocalist Kaviraj Singh Dhadyalla, who is a rising star trained in the art of Khayal singing and Santoor.
Kaviraj is to be accompanied by international renowned senior musician Sri Shahbaz Hussain on Tabla and Jasdeep Singh Degun.
